Nature Perfect started as one person's trail notes and turned into a loose, unpaid collective of people who keep going back to the same forests, year after year, to see what's changed.
It began with a single notebook and a single stretch of forest, revisited often enough that the small changes became impossible to ignore — a stream that ran drier each August, a nesting pair that didn't come back one spring, a slope where the undergrowth quietly thickened after a browsing herd moved on.
None of that seemed worth writing about on its own. Together, over several years, it started to look like a pattern worth keeping a record of. Nature Perfect is that record, cleaned up and shared.
We're not trying to break news. We're trying to notice things early enough that noticing still matters.
A small, rotating group — a few of us with backgrounds in ecology and land management, a few who are simply stubborn about spending weekends outdoors with a notebook. We don't publish under a masthead of titles and credentials; the work speaks for itself or it doesn't.
